the testimony

"And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."  1 John 5:11-13
"That which from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched - this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it and we proclaim the eternal life which was with the Father and has appeared to us."   1 John 1:1-2
"For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased." We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain. We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your hearts. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."   2 Peter 1:16-21
"Men of Israel, listen to this; Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. This man was handed over to you by God's set purpose and foreknowledge and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him....God has raised this Jesus to life and we are all witnesses of the fact,   Acts 2:22-24, 32
"And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe."   1 Thess. 2:13
"We know that we live in Him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us."   1 John 4:13-16
"I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not from human origin. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ."   Galatians 1:11-12
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind...The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth...No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.   John 1:1-4,14,18
In my vision at night I looked and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and soverign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.   Daniel 7:13-14
Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?" "I am," said Jesus. "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One on the clouds of heaven."   Mark 14:61-62
God said to Moses, "I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites; I am has sent me to you."   Exodus 3:14
"Are you greater than our father Abraham? He died, and so did the prophets. Who do you think you are?"   John 8:53
"Your father, Abraham, rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad." "You are not yet 50 years old," they told him, "and you have seen Abraham!" "Very truly I tell you," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am,"   John 8:56-59
Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you...   Luke 1:1-3

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness,"...   Genesis 1:26
From one man he made every nation of men,  that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being.   Acts 17:26-28
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.   Psalms 19:1
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness, of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature -  have been clearly seen, being understood by what has been  made, so that men are without excuse.   Romans 1:18-20
But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God. And your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.  Isaiah 59:2
There is no one righteous, not even one.  Romans 3:10
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 6:23
But he was pierced for our trangressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.  Isaiah 53:5
But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets saying that his Messiah would suffer. Repent then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord...Indeed, beginning with Samuel, all the prophets who have spoken have foretold these days.   Acts 3:18-19,24
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentence.   2 Peter 3:9
This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.   1 Timothy 2:4
"Say to them, 'As I live!' declares the Lord GOD, 'I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways!"   Ezekiel 33:11
But because of your stubborness and your unrepentent heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgement will be revealed.   Romans 2:5
But now a righteousness from God, apart from law,  has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.   Romans 3:21-22
Then the Jews demanded of him "what miraculous signs can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?" Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple and I will raise it again in three days." The Jews replied, "It has taken forty six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?" But the temple he had spoken of was his body. After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said, Then they believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.   John 2:18-22
"I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me"?  "We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God." ..."Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does." But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."   John 10:31-33, 37-38
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance; that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also...   1 Corinthians 15:3-8   (55 A.D.)
"The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life - only to take it up again. No one takes it from me. but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father."   John 10:17-18
"The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men; be crucified and on the third day be raised again."   Luke 24:7
Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have." When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet. And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, "Do you have anything here to eat?" They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate it in their presence.... Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, "This is what is written: the Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentence for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.   Luke 24:39-43, 45-48
Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So, the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe." A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it in my side. Stop doubting and believe." Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"   John 20:24-28
... now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.   Acts 17:30-31
"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters."   Matthew 12:30
"The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born."   Matthew 26:24
Lord, are only a few people going to be saved? He said to them, "Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' "But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.' "Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.' "But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, you evildoers!" "There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Issac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out."   Luke 13:23-28
..."That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left...Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come...So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."   Matthew 24:39-40,42,44
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.   Acts 4:12
...and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.   Proverbs 2:3-5

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this ; While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.   Romans 5:8

"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me."  Revelations 3:20

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."   John 14:6-7

"...the one who rejects me rejects the one who sent me."   Luke 10:16

Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."   John 20:29

If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then you shall be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved....for, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.  Romans 10:9-10,13

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ..."   Romans 5:1

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.   Romans 8:1-2

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.   Psalms 103:12

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.   1 John 1:9

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God - children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.   John 1:12-13

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.   Galatians 2:20

This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."   John 15:5,7-8

..."Be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy."   Leviticus 19:2

"My command is this:  Love each other as I have loved you."   John 15:12

"Forgive as the Lord forgave you."   Colossians 3:13

"His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires."   2 Peter 1:3-4

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrafices, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world,  but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, perfect and pleasing will.   Romans 12:1-2

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.    2 Corinthians 3:17-18

Jesus said, "The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the teachers of the law, and must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. Then He said to them all: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.   Luke 9:22-24

"Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me."   Matthew 10:38

"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost."   Luke 19:10

"whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant and whoever wants to be first must be your slave - just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life for the ransom of many."   Matthew 20:26-28

Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.   James 1:22

"Keep on loving one another as brothers amd sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourself were suffering."   Hebrews 13:1-3

For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.   2 Chronicles 16:9

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."   Matthew 7:13-14

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."  Jeremiah 29:11-13

..."Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;...your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."   Psalm 139:13-14,16

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.   Romans 8:28

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and sober of mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.   1 Peter 5:7-9

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perserverence. Let perserverence finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.   James 1:2-4

Blessed is the one who perserveres under trial, because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.   James 1:12

"To the one who overcomes I will give the right to sit with me on my throne,  just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne."   Revelations 3:21

..."let us throw off all that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perserverence the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."  Hebrews 12:1-3

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."   Acts 1:8

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and took note that these men had been with Jesus.   Acts 4:13

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."   Matthew 28:18-20

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law." Jesus replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself."   Matthew 22:36-39

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death - even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.   Philippians 2:5-11

Then the King will say to those on the right, "Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."...."Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."   Matthew 25:34-36,40

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so no one can boast. For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.   Ephesians 2:4-10

"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."   John 8:12

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."   Proverbs 3:5-6

"Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."   Psalms 37:4

The instruction of the Lord (Bible) is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord (Bible) is trustworthy, making the inexperienced wise. The precepts of the Lord (Bible) are right, making the heart glad; the commands of the Lord (Bible) are radiant, making the eyes light up.   Psalms 19:7-8

"Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth."   John 17:17

"They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they are without excuse."   John 15:21-22

"But unless you repent, you too will all perish."   Luke 13:5

"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as it's own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world."   John 15:18-19

"Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you may be also where I am."   John 14:1-3

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."   Mark 16:15

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."   John 3:16

"The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever,"   Isaiah 40:8

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the street stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign forever and ever.   Revelations 22:1-5

"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city....whoever is thirsty let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life."   Revelations 22:12-14, 17

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He, who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new !" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."   Revelations 21:3-5
